Classic South Mission Apartment- Steps to Surf!

My first impression when we walked inside the unit was how clean it was and how good it smelled, I wish I had their cleaning crew for my own house! The patio was a great spot to hangout, had a nice Weber grill and even had a partial beach view. They had several beach chairs, umbrella, and boogie boards that we were able to use when we went to the beach. The split air conditioning units were definitely an added bonus for some of the warmer days we were there. There were 7 of us that stayed there, 2 adults and 5 kids and we felt there was plenty of enough room for us. The two sets of bunk beds in the one room definitely help the sleeping situation with younger kids. All the beds were comfortable and had nice linens and towels. We loved the location, a bit of a more peaceful crowd down at the south side of Mission Beach, nice for younger families. Overall this was a great place to stay at. The only con of this place was the bright streetlight and neighbors air conditioning unit across the street that was loud and made sitting outside at night not as pleasant as it could’ve been, but obviously they have no control over that. Overall this was a wonderful unit and we will definitely stay here again in the future.

We have rented this unit 2 years in a row now and hope to rent again next year! It is clean, cute and has A/C! It is an upstairs unit with 3 bedrooms and steps to the ocean. Highly recommend staying here!

We really loved this property. The location is steps from the beach, the place was really clean and had all the amenities we needed. The check in and check out process was seamless and the communication was quick.

This home was more than advertised. It is so very close to the boardwalk, the beach and the bay on the other side. The host was very responsive. We had a wonderful stay over Christmas, it had plenty of room for myself, my mother and my brothers. It also had all that you would need in terms of pots, pans, cutlery, we did not go without! Highly recommend.

We have stayed in the upstairs three bedroom for more than 20 years for at lease a week every July. And we plan on being there in 2026. Everything has been renewed and this year the addition of HVAC. Walk to the beach and take a hike to Belmont. It's a very pleasant experience. Thank you Casa de la Playa. John and family.
